Big Band Section
TIMELINE by Jeff Jarvis
Medium swing chart, scored at a medium level in the swing style of Count Basie / Woody Herman; a straight-ahead minor tune with a memorable melody that will fit into any programme setting.
Tempo mark: quarter notes = 132, but the chart also works at a brighter tempo of quarter notes = 152.
The chart has solid ensemble writing, an open solo section, comping for solos, big band drums fills and a roaring shout chorus.
